The Philly Brat Under Scrutiny!?

We swung through FOX 43 in York, PA on our way to New York for this weekend’s “No Ordinary Burger Contest” finals. I prepared the Johnsonville Brat Hot Tub for viewers at home and the station loved it so much that they asked us to stay for the 8:00 AM news to do another recipe for them. Being that we were so close to Philadelphia, I thought it would be a good idea to prepare The Johnsonville Philly Brat. Little did I know the anchor that was with me on The Big Taste Grill was actually from Philly and was ready to challenge Johnsonville Kitchen’s Philly Brat Recipe… She decided she would be the official taste tester of the Johnsonville Philly Brat.
She watched me grill the Johnsonville Brats to perfection. Then saute the peppers and onions and place them atop the brat. Finally, I topped it all off with some hot Cheese Whiz. She seemed a little surprised at the Cheese Whiz but was undeterred. She grabbed the Philly Brat, smiled, opened wide and chomp! She loved it! The Johnsonville Philly Brat was approved on live t.v. by a real Philadelphian!
