Introducing the Brat Counter

February 4, 2014

One of the most common questions I get when I tell people about my job as Grill Master is: “Don’t you get sick of brats?????”

The answer is no. For several reasons: 1. Brats are awesome and delicious. 2. Johnsonville makes like a billion types of brats (as well as chicken and turkey sausage) and 3. I don’t have to pay for the brats and free food is always amazing.

The prevalence of this question has made me curious, though. By the end of 2014, I will have been touring with the Big Taste Grill for something like eight or nine months. It occurs to me that it would be very cool if I knew, at the end of it all, just how many brats I had consumed. So, I am excited to introduce:

At the end of my blog posts on days when I actually consume a brat, I will post the updated number. I imagine that by the end of the tour, the number will be quite staggering. For instance, this is how many brats I ate today:

Just kidding. That would make a person explode. Don’t ask me how I know that.

OFFICIAL BRAT COUNT (through my first 3 Grill Master events): 10

Keep on keeping on, America.
